Hey dude, did you get the download to work in the end? I hope so.

Anyway, as i promised ages ago i have some recipes to pass on from my last play through. Still haven't beaten the game though, will have to play again soon.

My strategy was to raise the dragons' fighting ability rather than play arcade on the town combat scenes. That means Wisdom and strength. Wisdom determines how much damage they take when they conquer towns. Your dragon can die if you make it too zealous and it's not wise enough.

2 Rasgon
2 Halorus
1 Molmar
1 Arcus

(Refer to the alchemy booklet to see what treatments to give them, i stopped writing them down after a while.)

Above potion increases speed, strength and eyesight and gives a good bonus to wisdom.

Porbably the best potion until Rasgon runs out. And it will. Buy it when ever you can. If you attack a town that is at war with another town, hopefully their enemy will offer you alchemy ingredients as reward and hopefully they will have Rasgon.

Generally an alchemy reward will be worth more gold than the gold reward but the ingredients might not be as useful as gold.

2 Rasgon
1 Halorus
1 Molmar
1 Oregon
1 Smyte

Gives a boost to wisdom, speed and health and a bigger boost to eyesight.

Eyesight is (I assume) essential for finding the lost amulet parts but i'm unsure of the exact formula.

Jaluem and Ayhe can be used when Rasgon runs out but they aren't as powerful and bring in side effects.

A couple other points of note: Slow cooking eggs didn't seem to make a difference, though i never hatched one on the lowest heat, it takes a very long time. Would still like to check it out though.

Sitting a dragon on a town will mean you can tax them as high as you like and they have no choice but to pay. It's a good way to make money and the town may also grow larger. You may lose your dragon if you keep taxing too high for too long though. A hero comes to town.

I believe that if one of your towns becomes big enough to multiply you retain control of the new town too, though the memory is a little hazy.

Finally:
Bachim starts with the trader Onsum as his door. Onsum sells:
Acrus
Sals
Magian
Ceeocor
Olega
Irin
Jaluem

Ametrin starts with Yunon at his door and Yunon sells:
Churl
Snir
Cadoam
Smyte
Arolig
Yasin
Ayhe
Chife

Oureod start with no traders at her door but Frenze comes on the second turn and he sells:
Tius
Magoem
Halorus
Mionacal
Molmar
Arolig
Oreganse

There are five other traders and they all rotate through visiting all players. Losusa and Garent sell rasgon.

Next time i play i'll try a few other things.
