I wont pretend that I actually know anything about wat threads have been removed in the past, but if what Tom Henrik says is true, then most of the threads that are removed for obvious reasons. Still, there must be other times when it's not quite as clear why a thread was removed, or this topic wouldn't have been started. I'm not saying you should make a sticky and post in it every time you remove a warez thread, but when removing a thread that isn't a clear violation of the rules, some people would probably appreciate a reason.
