For my english class, I have to do a multimedia project relaying the life of Harper Lee. So, I'm making a rock opera. The following is the introduction song lyrics. Any suggestions? I really have to work on the first two versus.

Tequilla Mockingbird

Introduction Song: To kill a rocking(and rolling)bird

Monroeville 1926,
April 28,
Somewhere in South Alabama
a birth is dictated by fate.

Youngest of the kin
she went to University
and armed with an education
moved to New York City.

(bridge)
To whom I refer is Harper Lee
and this is her biography

(chorus)
Harper Lee, Harper Lee
This song is just a summary (x2)
Harper Lee, Harper Lee
The only author for you and me

Harper went and quit her job
the lure of writing had her hooked
and in only a few years time
she had a full fledged book

To Kill a Mockingbird was its name
dealing with black and white
an issue about which, at the time,
many were uptight.

(chorus)
Harper Lee, Harper Lee
This song is just a summary (x2)
Harper Lee, Harper Lee
The only author for you and me

The book was quite well recieved
but I'm getting too far ahead
I plan to elaborate
with her bio sung not read

So let us turn around,
and head back to the beginning.
We'll cover all the bases,
but this time we'll do it singing.

Any suggestions/revisions?

Note that the whole thing is intentionally very tongue in cheek.
