Snail mail is different. You need to write a card/letter, buy the stam and go out to post it. You don't do that unless you really wish to send somebody a card. Picking up a phone is much faster and less thought through. You simply pick it up and call. There's much greater risk of havin prank phonecalls then recieving prank postcards (don't you think). That's why Snail Mail topic works and is very welcome.
Calling people isn't a bad idea, but it's not as good as Snail Mail. I personally won't be calling anyone (although I actually have the phone number of 3 members) - maybe an SMS, but that's almost the same as sending them PM or e-mail, so no point.
But if people feel comfortable in postin ghteir number (and like calling eachother) - then this is the place to post/look for numbers.
