I hope I do not violate some forum etiquette by bumping such an old thread -- I wonder whether I should've opened a new one? What do the mods think?
Anyway, I'd love to get my hands on this game, so I've created a mockup so that people get an idea what the game looked like. Maybe that puts someone on the right track...
Here it goes (mind, the frog looked better in the game, even though the style was similar). That's what one of the levels looked like:
And here're some more bits I remember about the game:
- I seem to recall that the game file was named frogdeu.exe
- The game used a hi-res EGA mode, that is 640x350, 16 colours
- I played the game in the late 80s, maybe 1988 or 1989
- In the game intro, the title "20th century frog presents" appeared, accompanied by a PC speaker version of the 20th Century Fox music you know from the cinemas...
Does that ring a bell somewhere? Please, please, please?
