Try DOSBox 0.74; Thank you Jesus Christ I got this 5 years ago from
www.dosgames.com referral to the original website. Just unRAR and run. You'll have to learn a bunch of new commands but it has sounds. pcem and msdos emulators usually don't have sound at least on my end because of modern machines.
Here is the official website:
https://www.dosbox.com/
However they are the group who work on it directly so they might be changing it all the time. The attachment I put up here is from 5 years ago and has been working for me for that long.
If you have a folder like jim1 just double click DOSBox and mount it:
mount c c:\jim1
c:
dir *.*/w/p
look for any files that have the name of your game or install or ending in exe or bat or com. Just type the filename.
I am assuming that it is a DOS game. Windows 98 I believe does run DOS game however the speed might be faster.
