It accepts spaces because the quiz has nothing to do with URLs. It's a JavaScript application that compares your input with the title of the respective game. Either the JavaScript sees the ampersand as an operator or the site stores the ampersands in game titles as & or %26 to avoid an operator or an HTML error for other instances.
