OK this is a classic problem. Just use the install program to set the soundcard before playing. Bad sound settings is probably the reason why it freezes. Then try to find a combination of settings that works. Dos-Box emulates an old sound card because your sound card is not one of those recognized by the game. So try different settings, a different choice for sound effects and music would probably be be a wise move. My settings for instance are : Soundblaster for music and Sounblaster pro for sound effects. With some little fiddlin' around you should find a combination that works. Good luck ! k:
If you really can't find any other solution try playing the game with no sound (both settings on : none).
