I think you mean the whole site not just the forum?
As Tulac said: You're not the only one with that preference... The forum has recently been refurbished in order to take it back aesthetically, but the rest of the site is more hardwired and inaccessible to the admins. So things may change here and there, but at the moment it can't change all over, even if admins wanted to (it would be LOTS of work).
