DOSBox supports more then 1 configuration file since 0.70
+So you can have one main file and one game specific file
+-conf primary_config_file.conf -conf game_specific_config_file.conf[/b]
|
If I get that right... the game-specific file does not have to contain an exact copy of the main conf file, just the differences?
How does that work with Autoexec section? Is one of them ignored or both are executed in succession?

yes. and the differences should be specific to the game
(like soundblaster or cpu or machine settings)
The general configuration file could contain things like scalers and sample rates.
This allows you to change the scaler for all games (if you get a new monitor for example)
Both autoexec sections are executed. in the order that the configuration files are specified.
