I wanted to wait for Mighty's statement, but I'll add mine too. Actually, it's the opposite. Geographically Finland belongs to Scandinavia. But in terms of language, culture and even ethnically, Finns differ greatly from their neighbours. Finnish is not even an Indo-European language making their only linguistic friends in Europe the Hungarians and the Estonians.
