Vampire the Masquerade - Redemption is a really great one, imo. It's not scary or something, but it is at least horror-themed
I don't think it's abandonware however.
And I can't think of any abandoned ones right now.
I even can't think of any other horror RPGs (besides its sequel, but that is
surely not abandonware)
