Me thinks you best would create a BIN/CUE image to install the game in dosbox (
-> imgmount) on a Mac.
Mac has weirdo PC CD reading behavior, that way you avoid this problem, as an image is read flawless in dosbox even on a @#@#@#@# Mac.
