I just registered here because I found your thread when I was searching so hard and now that I found out what the game's name is I wanted to let you know.
It's called TDK Magnetic Planet.
You can download it here:

But that's the german version.
For the english version you need to google yourself now that you have the name.
You will need dosbox and windows 3 for dosbox to install and run it but it works great and the music is as good as ever! Cheers!
