Nope. The settings I gave you are ones that DosBox and VDMSound use as default (personally I always change the soundcard to Sound Blaster Pro 2... it's a matter of personal preference rather than practicality, though).
What you have to do is run the game's sound configuration utility (usually named
install,
config,
setup or
setsound) and configure the game to use these settings.
