The game has plenty of tricks to help you - as has been said if you hold down the fire button, you can get passed most of the sideway shooting missions.
Yes, it's damn hard though but I did complete it - took about 15 minutes to play through.
I loved the bike part though - where you have to avoid stuff. I played the game just for that part. The one after that where you're getting shot at, you have to shoot BACK at the helicopter I believe.
