I'll have to play it, again. When it first came out, I tried it, and found it one of the weaker KOEI titles. It was at a time when they (rather foolishly) thought the reason their PC titles weren't selling in the US was because they were too complex and numbers heavy for the market. The problem wasn't that: it was the lack of significant new features between updates on established titles like Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Personally, I think they really hit their stride again with Balor of the Evil Eye, the only title they had input from an American development team, but by then the corporate heads in Japan had decided to pull the plug on the US branch and the PC side of things.
