Science starts with evidence, which then results in a hypothesis, which leads to more research and analysis to be done to assertain the accuracy of this hypothesis, which may be revised to improve it's accuracy.

Creationism has started with the Bible and has then creatively interpreted and ignored research connected with it to stay exactly the same. That is why it's not science.

And "Intelligent Design" (aka, ID) is the beleif that the universe was created by a deity 6000 years ago with all that it contains also designed by this deity, ie, the same thing, with the christian parts carefully removed, but still the same thing.
