First at all, in the DOSBox it's emulated disk, not real one. Most probably that you mount current dir as disc C (it's default behavior when you are opening .exe right in the DosBox). In that case you'll see your files _only_ if they resides in the same dir as qbasic itself.
And for second, I would recommend to get "real", DOS QB (linked on the previous post is wrong - it is embedded in the DOSBox).
