I recently tried Linux MultiMedia Studio (
lmms). It's positioning as alternative to FL. It's quite crude right now, but it's workable there. I made a composition just yesterday in it. Despite all bugs and disadvantages, I'm quite impressed. It's better than nothing in Linux.
But for normal needs I use GuitarPro or Adobe Audition with Fruity Loops. )
