Long time lurker here, at last decided to join. ;) *EDIT : LOLZ Newbee spammer @52 years ......

Virtual Box is listed as supporting : DOS, Windows, Linux, OS/2, OpenBSD, FreeBSD, but ...
I've done some testing with this one, for Dos, yes it runs in it, but as it can't emulate a SB it's pretty worthless for gaming purposes.
To run old Windows in it, they run slower then on VPC, and again: no sound, certainly in W95, you can eventually get sound in W98SE as it can emulate (and pretty good) an AC97 soundchip, drivers for W98SE can be found, but it's again slower then VPC.

The good things about Virtual Box lays in a VM for NT likes (even Vista) or most Linuxes.
(Ubu-DSL-DSL-N and so on.) In that segment it beats VPC.

I would even dare to advise Virtual Box if someone wants to test out some Linux distris.

My 2 cents, for what it's worth.
