If you're using XP and your computer can handle it, you should upgrade to Windows 7. I think it's a waste for Vista users to upgrade, unless you're having serious problems with it. Vista has always worked fine for me, and the asking price for a glorified service pack is too steep for me. I'll upgrade if I ever get a new computer, but I'm going to try to hold off for when Windows 8 will apparently come out in a couple years.
If Microsoft is going to do this two year cycle BS between operating systems, they really need to lower what has always been a ridiculously high price and stop releasing 5 different versions of the same software with artificial limitations set in place to handicap the product.
