I'm currently replaying the EGA version of LOOM with its' MIDI Swan lake soundtrack. This game is pure art in my opinion, the puzzle design is quite original, the story is an interesting fairy tale about a special boy belonging to the guild of weavers. And lastly, to me this game doesn't feel dated even though it's not even in VGA! In short, this is one of the few games I've played that I consider pure art.
Other games I can think of that has the same "artsy" feeling to them is Myst (not one "logic puzzle" in the entire game, everything is about observing and listening.) and Homeworld (the concept design and music in this game is incredible, just look at how the created the garden of Kadesh!).
