No idea what causes the garbled text. Just enter
install C: to make the game install to a dir on your C drive (or whatever you mounted as t in DOSBox).
Unpack the attached file into the game directory and confirm overwrite to get rid of the bloody stupid password check.
Run the game using strip.bat.
When prompted for password just press ENTER.
