If you want better performance, get more/better RAM.
Depending on your motherboard/OS the suggestions CAN be:
-add one 512MB GDDR2 (resulting in 1GB of Ram :cool
-Replace with Two 1GB modules (RESULTING IN 2GB RAM! :eek
Should be enough overall.
You will just need the Ca$h
