OK, OK... after all the new DOSBox versions are basically upgrades of the original program so everything a new DOSBox can do could be done with the older version - with changes implemented. I mean, when enough changes are made the next official release of it is made.
I guess that's just from the gamer's (read - computer abuser's) point of view, not from a coder's (read - computer user's) point of a view.
There are many more people using DOSBox then changing it's sorce code to improve it.
