I think I was in junior high when I first played this, shortly after upgrading from my Tandy 2000HX. I had the bright idea to start comparing the saved game files before and after completing a mission with different levels of success (and medals). Found I could use a hex editor to give myself medals after that.
That was a whole new dimension to the 'game' that I remember most about Gunship 2000. The helicopter stuff was cool too.
