Hmmm, 8 years eh? If you have that much experience, than any problems derived from an offline program can easily be solved because you should already know quite a bit about background tasks. Honestly though , risking (just a bit,if at all)your computer is worth it when trying to work for a cancer cure.

P.S. Yeah I'm a reckless user of the P.C. , but there was only once I really had to reformat to fix my comp, most other probs should be quite easy when you have 9 years exp (I started at 9, 18 now).
