If that doesn't help - mount not the directory of the game but just a drive, and then change to the directory of the game manually in DosBox or through the command line in dosbox.conf. Some games don't know where they are located if you mount a directory as a drive in DosBox and can't save the game, so just mount it just like that:
(example) mount c c:/ and not mount c c:/omf or similar.
