Oh, man, my favorite footie game. Well, tied with Fifa 98 RTWC.

I used to play it all the time with my friends. We even had a tournament on one of my birthdays (with flipping coins on who will be on the keyboard and who on the mouse). I won. And that was in what, 1995-6 ? Heck, we even knew who the players were by the number they played (and people swore that "Klinsmann" scored more "easily"), and they're spread quite randomly.

There were some issues, of course. You could "dribble" past the goalie for some easy goals (we banned that practice between us), and yeah, very high scores are possible (73-0 on one of the longer matches for me if I remember correctly). And some great teams are missing (like, say, Croatia).

But hey, a 5 from me.

I really remember it getting mediocre reviews...
I do believe the reviewers were right. A so-so footy...

Fun nonetheless... The strange shots you can pull off are the only interesting thing...

I think empire soccer deserve this rating it is a good game, Sensible it is bad rating that i don´t understand... :sneaky:

seems nice... but...
HOW DO I PLAY?
ball control seems as hard as in Sensible, and I can't turn without losing the ball
the best for me in those times was Microprose Soccer

You need to pratice to control the ball, because with a little calm tou can control the ball. :cheers:
