Watched it earlier and I was surprised. The movie did not suck as most people say it did. The acting was quite good IMO and it was from beginning to the end all action.

The one matter that I haven't made my mind yet is the technique they followed (similar to Sin City though I have not investigated to be 100% certain).
On one hand it does make it look interesting and it works in many ways, on the other there are shots where it just doesn't work for me. For example, a couple of shots when Polly is in the city while the giant robots attack and we see her from middle long shot looking towards the robots, it just looks so fake it is not even funny.
There are of course cases where it looks very nice, like in the mine and when the bird like robots are aftering sky captain through the city, excellent.

I would give it 3.5/5 because I did enjoy it and liked most of the things, including the script. It loses marks for over dependence on computer graphics and a couple of terrible green/blue screen shots.

same here.

i also never understood why they rated it bad.

especially here in my country i hate these film critics. they never understand the gist of movie. Like Doom - it wasn't ment as a broadway show or Gone in the wind movie damn it! the doom is ment as a tribute to DOOM. especially the 1st person sequence.

same like Resident evil - good movie. and then the most stupid thing is when i see movie ratings and then when they are repating the same movie on tv same persons give it different rating (much higher).
Or Mortal combat which really isnt' that bad action movie. they simply rate it low because of their poor knowledge on it's background. to them it's enough that the story is based on computer game or comic book.

The only good thing about Sky Captain was when we got, er, intoxicated, and someone voiced over most of the lines with classic Star Wars lines. Never before has such laughter occured, or so many snack foods been consumed.

Haha, thats sounds fun.

Its a good film, I sorta lost the plot when they went to that snowy place and they all got in that bed.. Yeah, uhm, see, I dont remember much, as the only time I've seen it is on an American Airlines plane.. But melikey the pc graphics.

Everywhere.

i really wanted to see that film it looked awesome (especially if it has Angelina Jolie in it)

But Didn't It Steal The Stargate Theme Tune Supposedly???
I Don't Know btw So Don't Bite My Head Off!

On Another Note Doesn't Angie Look Ace In Tomb Raider

EDIT: sorry didn't realise how big pic was.

It did? oh well, i thought macho bullshit, constant action, dark atmosphere, mindless killing, large guns and mosters were all part of Doom - the game. then again i never played Doom 3....

on the side note the only problem i saw was too many clichés.
