Hi
Can I get Pirates Gold for windows go any slower, cause it's VERY hard to do combat when everything's this fast. It's virtually unplayable.
I'm running on Windows XP. Someone said that you could download the Dos version but I'm not too sure about it working on an XP-computer

Thanx a million if you can answer this!

You can use CPU Killer or some other programs made just for this. However, I don't recommend this solution. I rather play Pirates! for Genesis (Mega Drive) using Gens.

Why wouldn't you recomend it.. I think it sounds easy enough

If you use Dosbox and you can slow the cycles. You have in the main page the place to download the dosbox and you can read the tutorial, i think is the best way to you run and slow the game.

when you slow down applications by CPUkiller,
processor make some operations in background and isnt running slow "permamently" but "laggy"
i mean:runs slow for some seconds, then for a very little period of time runs faster, then slow again...

I've tried DOSBox now, but the problem I guess is that I have a swedish keyboard and I have no idea now how to make the sign ":"
It's hard to mount c: without that sign
It seems pretty simple but I seriously have no idea how to make it. ">" appears instead of ":"

The other solution I've tried is a program called A Speeder. Didn't work. It slows down games like Pinball but it doesn't affect Pirates Gold for Windows at all

Hmm.... feedback needed I guess

Well, as you stated that your game is for Windows then you need solutions for Windows. A DOS CPU Killer obviously won't work, as would DOSBox if you could make it work. Same for VDMSound.

There ought to be a CPU Killer for Windows out there somewhere.
