I was just wondering what warez stands for. I think i know what it means - doing illegal copying of software or something?

Also, would somebody be able to post up a list of what the different abbreviations mean. For example:
WAREZ
HOTU,etc,etc.

Uh, warez isn't an abbreviation as far as I know... And HOTU is an acronym for Home of the Underdogs. Simple.:)

At any rate, I always suspected it to come from 'wares', as in 'contraband' :P

AB = Abandonia
AR = Abandonia Reloaded

Warez came from either, Software (With a Z on the end, to add hackerness) or Wares.

HOTU stands for Home of the Underdogs, as I presume you already knew.

Warez doesn't stand for for anything. It means games (that are still for sale) illegally distributed over the internet.

Well I'm not 100% sure about this acronym, but if it's true, then it's a very old one, but still frequently used!

the story behind it (if true) would be that on the courts they had to place such a sheild on the door of the bedroom if wanting to presume the coresponding activity and that activity had to be allowed by the king, who could suposedly deny couples the right to have children even if merried.
