Hey My dad just added a really cool 6600 graphics card compared to the other one its pretty nice. But the only problem is when I try to run Enemy Territory (The only 3d game on the computer). I get a black outline of people and objects and everything else being white.
The computer meets all the Specifications. If have anyideas please share. |
You have a new nVidia graphics card, so you should download the latest drivers (77.77) fro the official site.
Even if your old card was nVidia and you already have the latest drivers, I suggest uninstalling the drivers (from control panel->add/remove hardware) and reinstalling them. |
And check the game graphics options. Nothing like fiddling around there to try and get it working.

Did you install Directx 9.0c? new graphics cards can get buggy when you run an older version of directx.
|
Yeah that is true, by the way just so you know you can download direct x from microsoft.com That was only to tell you if you did not know where to download it, but i think evryone knows so that is just incase

It might be something with your opengl. Make a autoexec...go to this site and it will really help. It helped for me to get at least 40 fps since my computer is old on medium settings.

o by the way nice graphics card

I did buy a ATi Radeon 9600SE. Too bad my computer is too old to be updated. Im getting a Pentium 3. (Better than a Celeron for gaming)

Its a budget graphics card not as powerful as the 6800 but the next under and still 256 megs memory. Im installing new drivers now gotta restart
