I read on Microsoft's web page the minimum requreiments for XP and it doesn't sound bad (really bad I mean) so I thought I should ask (please don't laugh): on a PII 350 MHz, 128 MB RAM, 6.2 GB free space and ... only that :) How fast would XP run ? I don't mind how fast DOSBox would run (on my mother's computer there is Win98 with Dos :Brain: ), but about other Windows software and games (old games; before 2001) I wouldn't like having to wait a really LONG time.

Solution, Tell your mother your stealing her computer and use that! :D

I do not think it is a good idea to install windows XP on that machine. In fact it is a grave sin if you do.

Those specs are my mom's specs. I plan on using some of her components and some of mine, making a somewhat more powerful computer.

Hmm... It isn't hell at the school. We sometimes use those computers if the teacher can't find the key to the other room with pIV.

Depends on what you are trying to run under windows and in what resolution... gaming is out of the question
