I know we already have different categories for games, but I'd like to suggest a new one. It would be (as the topic title suggests) The FIASCO category.
I think two great examples would be the games: Diplomacy and Commando. Both were excelent games on C64 (and probably on some other systems), but are really awefull for the PC. Also the Mastertronic's Barbarian would fall in this category... In short: These would be the games so bad you simply have to play to believe it (and understand why people hate them). This could also give a better perspective on other games. After all, we're talking about old games and are trying to bring forth the best. But you can't really understand what was good in those days, if you can't compare it with what was bad. |
It is a good idea, but there's a slight problem. How can you determine which games would go into that category?
Some people might like one title, while others might think it's a fiasco. It's very slippery ground. |
Why not call them "Real Dogs"? ;)

That's true Overlord. Perhaps a small poll in the game review/download page a poll to vote whether it's a FIASCO or not. But this would be difficult because someone could vote about 50 times. Perhaps you must be a forum member to vote or something? I'm not entirely sure.

I think that really catastrophic games would have mostly the same opinions abou it, I mean really terrible games that truly no one would like...

I mean, it's not good if category consists of 3 or 4 titles. |
Well, I mostly suggested this, because those really bad games (also stuff like Plumbers Don't wear Jeans) are a different kind of legends, but I really wouldn't like to see them with the rest of the games.

We dont need a category for bad games. Instead, we could use a "Bad game" badge or something.
@Seb-You made this topic because Zorro is so horrible, right? |
Hehe a game for that list is Custer's Revenge...
