Did you try DOSbox?

Doesn't this belong in the troubleshooting section??

Anyway, no idea how to solve it.

Run DOSBox, go to the directory the game is uncompressed, run install.exe there choose the hardware options to choose a sound card (choose the basic sound blaster with the default options. When you run install.exe DO NOT choose install the game, just the hardware configuration. The game is already "installed" in that forder. When you finish with the soundcard options exit the install program and type in dosbox master or orion I don't remember. The game should run fine.

I have the same problem as this guy. What you suggested has worked fine so far, except every time I type in "Orion" or "Master" in DOSbox it just says "Illegal Command". Am I supposed to put in some crazy dashes and colons or something first?

Sorry to hijack, but is there a way to run MOO in a window? I can get it to run, mind you, but running it in a window would be so convenient...
