RPG?
 

Hi, uhm, no, No banans in this post...

I was thining about, well, we all know (or i hope we do) what D&D is (dungeons and Drangons). For those of you who don't know, it is a RPG, NO not a computer game, a game where people meet and play together. There is one DM (Dungeon Master) who is like god and tells a story the players are in, and tells them waht they encounter, see, wha they have to do etc.

I was thinking if having such a game here on abandonia would be popular, cuase i know that (at least) Tom plays some rpg, and i guess that some of you others do as well. We could make a game like this here on abandonia, Forum based, of course.

So what do u think???

How is it supposed to be? If it's text-only, it wouldn't attract many people, if at all. Just see Danny's good, but unsuccessfull attempt at Challenges area.

The only D&D game i played and truly liked is NWN, wich in fact is one of my favorites.I played EoB 1,2,3 wich are D&D games i'm sure, and i didn't like them.I also played Blood & Magic, and i didn't like either.Acutally the latter is quite nice, but it gets boring(sorry FreeFreddy)

DND is fun, but I prefer it in real life. I play games like these with some friends and NWN is pretty good. Some like it more than they would otherwise because it does the rolls and calculations for you.

I agree with Durak. I've been doing role playing table top for almost 8 years now, and to be honest posting a game wouldn't nearly do it justice. Also, it's a lot more work then you realize kidarnii to be the DM and actually write a good game worthy of keeping peoples attention. I mean, you could give a try but I'm just giving you a little forewarning.

I am a GM (game master) for Shadowrun and Werewolf, and player in Ars Magica, Vampire, Dragonstar and sometimes in Star Wars 8)

I also have a friend who's a WONDERFUL GM. He made up his own game called Wizards and Monsters (WM) which I think is even more fun than DnD.
