when i try to install vdmsound it says you must be running as an administrater to install vdmsound what does this mean
You must be logged into Windows as a user without full administrative access - you'll need to log in to an admin account to instal, but should be able to run it from your account after. If you don't know what account has admin ability, try to log in as Administrator without a password.
I don't have such problems, since my own user account on my PC has full administrative privileges from the beginning. :D
how do i change the administative capabilities i have only 1 user (no passwords) and i just reformatted the hard drive and i havn't changed a thing from the original factory settings
There _must_ be an admin account, if not then you have done something wrong when installing Windows. And if so then you'll have to re-install.
be sure to use winxp or win2000
vdmsound doesn't work for win9x (well there is an aplha version, but not that stable) |
To gain administration privilages you don't have to reinstall windows. All you need to know is your admin password.
You can't get administrator priviledge for Win98/95 since it simply doesn't exist.
oh i have win 98 my winme got scratched and dosn't work anymore but my other computer still has win me i'll have to remember the password
WinME is like bugged Win98. No administration in there, as far as I can remember.
