I've pondered this question...what are the oppinions of people around the world?
|
the answer is simple, it makes a sound, but no one hears it.
|
Yes it does make a sound.
The other point is that in a forest there's always going to be something there to hear it, be it a bird, a mouse or a badger. |
Id does make sound. But what about a tree in space?
This thread is absoleet... |
But you've forgotten the most important part of the question: what colour is the tree? :D
|
Depends on how big is the tree...
|
If it was like a sapling then it might not. It would be cushioned by some wild gerbils or something. Or it could fallen into a snake's mouth.
But to the first question,, yes it makes a sound. Whether anyone can confirm that a sound is made is another matter entirely. But yes, it would always make a sound outside of a vacuum. |
It might make sound, but you can't be sure. Even IF there was somebody other then yourself there, you couldn't be sure (And some might go even further...).
However, I don't see any reason why the tree shouldn't make any sound. Mostly because I don't like the Man-as-the-center-of-the-universe idea that it professes. I'm still working on something better though :max:, as this is not really a valid opinion this way. |
The tree makes a sound. For it to fall there must be energy, some of this energy will be converted into sound and some will be converted into heat, there is no escaping physics.
|
The real problem is if the trees exist or not, however, if they exist they must make sound, cause should exist even the ground for the impact and the air to spread the sound!
If they don't exist and are only in my immagination, they make sound cause i want they do that... and even you all don't exist, obviously! So i can tell you wathever i want! |
