Wing Commander freezing
 

I recently downloaded Wing Commander and managed to get the game running. Everything was smooth through the first mission and the between-mission time on the Tiger's Claw. However, when I start the second mission, the game freezes the instant the launch animation is complete. As soon as I clear the Tiger's Claw and enter open space, the game locks up and won't respond to any commands.

Any suggestions? I've tried tweaking some DOS Box settings, but nothing has worked so far. Is there a command to skip the mission? Since the first mission worked fine, perhaps the problem is specific to mission #2.

try loadfix -1 before starting the game.

but it still wont work. I type:
wc loadfix -1
to get it running, as you suggested, but it still freezes.

so after loadfix -1 it says 1kb allocated
I load my pre-mission 2 game
and after I leave tigers claw
IT FREEZES!

well I don't know that one fixed wc2
and they are look-a-like

Dunno then Maybe someone can confirm this bug ?

suppose not, check the dosbox forum for a solution....
