Has anyone else noticed the weird thing with firefox and some animated gifs.

My avatar for example:

In IE it's hacking away like it's crushing the skull of some three headed beastie from the depths of your worst nightmare....
But in FireFox it looks more like it's an adrenalin junkie digging to China!

It's not just my avatar either. But it doesn't seem to do it with all animated Gifs.... Anyone know why?

Yeah I noticed that when I checked it out, it started out going very fast when the page loaded but it seemed to slow down again like in IE, but then it started to speed up somewhat and slow down again, that's weird..

It seems to go hyper when you wave your mouse over it too....

Anyway, i have noticed it before with other gif animations.

IE (and Windows in general) has problems playing fast animated GIFs. Unlike Firefox it has a minimum speed for them.

However, since in my Opera it's also at a pretty normal speed, it must indeed be a bug in Firefox.
