well, its hard to descripe. For an example i downloaded castles 2, and when i tried to run it, the colours were all wrong, so i couldnīt see anything. I have also tried street rod and when i tried to run that, its was like the screen were divided in four and everyone showed the same image

Hard to explain but can you help??

Yes, use DOSBox. Should fix most if not all of your problems.

have you tried to run the games in THE dosbox (windows), or DOSBox?

Guest_Peter 21-03-2005 08:21 AM

Whats the difference??

Oh, ****, another one of THEM.

Whats the difference??
The "dosbox" of Windows is Microsoft's _UTTERLY_BOTCHED_ attempt at creating a DOS emulation.

DosBox (the emulator to which I link in my siggy) is a superb freeware program that emulates actually entire x86 PC, not just its OS. And therefore it is perfect for running old games.

Oh, and by the way, get v061, not v063 - I found out that some old games had graphic issues with the newer DosBox versions.

Actually, get both. That way you have both the new, supposedly better, one and the older, more reliable.

I advise you to look here first if you don't know the difference between DOSBox the program and the DOS box of Windows.
