i think irc would be better than the tag board. you could have everyone who is a regular (20+ posts?) opped, because only non-abandonians causing abuse would need to be banned. everyone else knows to behave themselves, or get a warning on the forum!

This has been suggested many times before but it never worked, probably because the forum is a glorified chatroom in places and any heated discussions can take place over MSN.

Not everyone has msn though.

theres a solution for people who don't have mIRC though, and thats java chat. with msn you have to register an account and anyway, none of the web messengers support multiple people in the conversation yet.

I don't have Java enabled on my IE either and I ocasionally do group chats of 10+ with my MSN. I don't see why you could not either.

i have msn. im just trying to point out that not everyone will have it. the only reason i have to use online msn webmessengers is that i want to chat to people in school. you really have to stop misreading my comments (i didn't say i don't have msn so stop making assumptions). why do you think i have msn as a contact detail in my profile??

He didn't say that you didn't have MSN, he just said that it is possible to have very large group discussions on MSN like in IRC. Why don't you stop misreading people's posts before you insult them?
