New Thief trailer shows pre-order exclusive mission
 

There's a new trailer for Thief, showing off a bank robbery level reminiscent of the bank mission in Thief 2. Sadly, it is a pre-order exclusive, which means I won't be playing it. :no:

I'm a HUGE Thief fan, and I really want this game to be good. But I'm not too hopeful right now. Missions being sliced off and sold as pre-order bonuses is a practice that needs to die.

And I'm not so keen on the new voice for Garrett, either, but that's a minor thing.

After reading the comments on that vid, I picture legions of haters desperately swarming to TPB to get their hands on the mission they REALLY hate for a game they TOTALLY despise :lol:

I only played T2 which is among my all time fav games but I doubt I'll get this. I wasn't shocked or appalled by the trailer, just that more games isn't a priority. As for DLC, meh, the option would be not to make it at all which would add even less.

That game appears to be Assassin's Creed in first person with the stupid superpowers from Hitman Absolution. "Thief", sure.

So 30 years from now we'll classify the vanilla game as shareware and reject its request? :perv:

I don't see much of a problem with the trailer. Looks like a Thief game to me.

The difference is that there's this baby-helping superpower I saw in one trailer, much akin to that in the new Hitman game, and the fact that you can effectively fight most guards which is again, just there to help babies. If we can ignore those, then we'll see how well it holds up in terms of design, stealth and gameplay.
