Medieval swords and magic gameplay

Hi, I have not one but two strategy games that I would really love to track down, but have never seen since I owned the demo. First one should be easyer since I remember much more about it, and the good news is that that is the one I really want to track down. Here goes:

Ok, the second of this game is probably going to be pretty hard, it was a game I got on the same disk as a Knights and Merchants demo before either game came out. The game itself was a strategy with the following features:

Medieval swords and magic gameplay

The ability to build and demolish a wizard's tower that twisted in the middle

A unit that could plant a round bomb on stone chunks to demolish them, I remember it ticked loudly and slowly as the fuse went down.

the description is not very precise, but we can try. :)

You would have a way better chance to find those games if you would describe a little more accurately... And by which I mean RTS.

RTS games don't have much to do with strategy games I'm afraid.

That's what the Austrians said at Austerlitz.

Well, I don't really know the difference, sorry. And I'm afraid I can't remember much more about it, except that the release date was close to that of Knights and Merchants.
