I am 1 year old!

Hey there citizens of the 21st century!

Lulu over on Twitter said I should drop by sometimes (I usually just check the frontpage and games), but today is as good day as any. Retronator, which is actually the name of my game development company, is today exactly 1 year old. To celebrate I am planning to do a special t-shirt which you might like (well, those of you that also had a computer before discovering the awesomeness of DOS games on the PC).

Remember this t-shirt from Retro Gamer magazine?

They don't make them anymore so I'm thinking of doing my own, but also extending the design to other old computers. It's just an idea at the moment and I explain more on my blog:

Anyway, the picture is good enough for the introduction in any case. I'll try to drop by the forum some more too.

Looking forward to meeting you guys! :hello:

Hey nice one, you de-lurked! :D

Happy birthday for you site (I love the site design by the way.) Also, I would wear that shirt.

Haha, 48K. Those were the days (1988 springs to mind).

Nice to meet you and nice T-shirt! :hello:

Thanks for the welcome!

Here's something I pixelled yesterday for a challenge at Pixel Joint that goes along the theme of the above photo:

Wow! Very impressive. Retro version of Dubai!? That roller coaster looks awesome! :max:

Congrats on the one year anniversary of your site, Retronator! BTW, I checked it out, and it's a serious nostalgia trip! Also, while we're on the subject of retro-ized (e.g. de-made) stuff, one of my private side hobbies is de-making screenshots from various video games just to see what they might have looked like if they were released onto another system. For example:

A Red Orchestra 2 screenshot (see original) in CGA at 320x200 pixels:

A Mass Effect 2 screenshot (see original) in EGA at 320x200 pixels:

And, finally, a Red Faction: Armageddon screenshot (see original) in the Commodore Amiga's 32-color mode at 320x200 pixels:

Where do you see the Rollercoaster, Mystvan? If you think the round thing, it's actually a future hotel:

But you did link to my first bought PC game, so no worries. :) Now that game (and a rollercoaster) you will actually find in a previous painting of mine:

Expack2: Cool demakes! Tigsource had a competition some years ago, to demake a popular game. I decided to make Fallout 3 into a 90s interactive movie, but only really managed to make the intro (with The Movies ... crazy good business sim):

Thanks for liking the page. It was supposed to be upgraded from a pure text adventure to an illustrated text adventure, but so far I didn't get the time. Maybe over the summer so I don't get crazy from writing my graduation thesis.

Hahaha, good luck with that XD
