does it need any extra hardware?
the reason im asking is because i want to take a screenie of my NFSU2 Car for something. |
Get an emulator. Put yur DVD in your DVD. Im almost sure that the emulator has a screenshotcapture.
|
theres no xbox emulator which will play commercial games at the moment. anyway, my computer wouldn't be able to run an emulator and my dvd rom isn't working. anyway, i'd need the save game data from nfsu2 to be on the computer. is there a way of capturing the screen output from the tv but directly (i.e. like pc screenshots)

The guys who made Red vs Blue say how they made up the films using xboxes and a computer so they could film it from different angles. Im not sure if you need any special cables or anything but here's the link to the page with it on
http://www.redvsblue.com/faq/?id=3 Hope it works for ya. Or you could just take a photo of it using a digital camera. |
thanks for the link :) its a shame i can't actually afford the stuff they use :( and the camera suggestion isn't very helpful to me as the picture wouldn't be right (with light shining off of the tv etc) so i wouldn't be able to use the picture (thats why i asked would it be possible to get it directly from the tv output)

Well there has to be a way to do it, because all the magazines have to get their screenshots from somewhere. And that includes the Game Cube which has only recently been able to get ROMS from.
I'll see what I can find... |
I know it's possible to rig a video player up to a PC and record straight from that but I'm not entirely sure of the leads you need or if you can do it with an xbox as they may use different leads but I know it is possible somehow.
|
I can do it with my video card, as I have video in/out on the card.
So, in ortder to record, or just take a screen shot of your game, you need video card with video in/out option. ;) |
