TA = heretic.

..... I always thought it was a wide spread custom in Christian countries, apparently not....?

Here we use Advents calendars with hidden chocolate candy, kids love them things, they are allowed to eat one candy each day in the Advents days before Christmas.

Oh I know what you mean, but I have never had a name for them. I just used to call them candy calendars. Every day up till Christmas you open up a little part of the calendar and get a chocolate. Used to love them, haven’t seen them for awhile, then again I don't really look for them either.

That's kinda normal DarthHelmet86, you're too old to get one of those things, and probably too young to have kids that can have them, so not for you for now.
:bleh:

I have them for my grandkids. :3: *cough* ... and one for myself of course .... *cough*

DarthHelmet86 02-12-2009 01:17 PM

Well my kid is just over one so yes I am too young to have a kid with one. But not for too long. And its allowed for parents to share in their kids fun.

Oi, oi, oi I'm from Moldova, Orthodox culture, different customs!

Anyways, I just remembered I've received a newsletter not long ago from Piranha, in german (don't ask me why):

Offizieller Risen Adventskalender!

Liebe Risen-Fans!

Ho Ho Ho!

yeah, in orthodox russia we didn't use to have these neither, but here in catholic slovakia they have advent calendars

El Quia 04-12-2009 12:25 PM

We don't have anything like this, and this it a catholic country :(

It can't be good be missing on candies and chocolates, independently of ideologies or beliefs... chocolate is good for everyone!

(except diabetics, I guess)
