Search for an old game
 

Im looking a for a old dos game. the beginning there is a old man with a bird. In the beginning of the game the character moev by a raddle, and then you have to search for letter to make a word. there are also obstacle like fire, animals.

Sounds like King's Quest V. There's a bird at the start, and you have to get past the rattle-snake by using the drum, to get to the ice level. Also the end boss required some sort of word puzzle to defeat.
